Most people wouldn’t get up from their physical home and fly halfway across the US to go take that leap of faith and meet with a team that could potentially help them in the long run. The fact of losing money from buying an airplane ticket, opportunity costs, and committing to do that is hard, but I had the best opportunity to meet with my team in Orlando, FL last week. For two full days I masterminded with my team of 6 and we came up with some big moves for this year.
This is an opportunity that not many people would have in my standing as a college student. However, many people ask, how did you do it? And why should I be in a mastermind? My answer is, if you don’t know what a mastermind is or have never been apart of one, JOIN ONE. They are life changing from the people that you connect with and the ideas that you share and conform to. A mastermind allows you to share your thoughts with a group of people and create great strategies in executing a plan or business. Not only that but they allow you to surround yourself by like minded individuals, and even though you probably have heard this phrase a million times already but, you are the average of the 5 people you hangout with.
If you never have had the feeling or experience of feeling secure in a sense of motivation, you need to. It doesn’t matter what field of work you are in, everyone needs to have that experience of excitement in being apart of a mastermind. It really helps you change your outlook on how you approach things. Also, if you are working on a business or a launching product it’s beneficial to get insight on it from other minds. You may not realize something is wrong with it or even another point of view until you get other people’s advice. The best way to do that is through a mastermind. That way everyone is together at once talking and brainstorming great successes about the same thing. Masterminds have and are becoming so popular that they can be done anywhere and everywhere. You can be across the country, or even across the world from someone and opt onto an online platform to hold a mastermind meeting.
Not only does masterminding help you in a business aspect but it also helps you in a personal and self nourishment aspect. If you are constantly around negative vibes, you will become that, but if you are around positive influences, it will make a great impact on you. It cleanses your mind on how you perceive situations in life, from doubting things on the daily to actually being thrilled about all the opportunities that are thrown your way. You soon realize that all the unneeded sadness and fear that your life is surrounded with disappears. It allows you to see the actual power and happiness that you were needing in order to achieve whatever you were striving for in life.
So where am I going with all of this? Go to those team meetings. Go to masterminds. Go book that plane ticket. Go invest in yourself. Go do it for you. Because at the end of the day why wouldn’t you? Don’t hold that regret for the rest of your life wishing that ‘I should’ve done that when I had the time to.’ Plus, if you take that chance, you also get to travel and see awesome places, and who doesn’t want that?
