It’s currently a Saturday evening and it’s super rainy outside. I was contemplating whether I should do work, homework, or write this blog, and of course I chose to write my blog for the upcoming Monday. In my previous blogs I always talk about a certain topic that is going on in my life or I find beneficial to share with you guys, but I figured I would just write about things that are on my mind.
If you are in college like I am you all are probably getting super excited because the semester is coming to an end! I am pretty pumped just because I enjoy school but taking a full schedule of classes and doing so much homework on top of everything that I am doing can get dreadful. Being a junior, I only have one more year left until I graduate college! It’s kind of shocking knowing that I have already finished 3 years of school because the time flew by so fast!
Besides school, yesterday I just finished working with my editor to get my book formatted for print. I just sent it in to get a proof copy shipped to me in the mail before I put it up on Amazon for people to purchase. Many of you already know that I published an Amazon best selling book and am still thankful that I am continuing to get a lot of support for it. I can’t wait until I have the physical copy of my book in my hand because it will feel so surreal. Like wow, I actually wrote a book. Crazy right?
Summer is in a couple weeks and I am still trying to figure out exactly what I want to do. Last summer I interned for a company down in Los Angeles and had a really great experience. I have been applying for internships for this summer but really haven’t heard back from any that stuck out to me. I got an offer for one that is in New York City, which is literally my dream city to be in this summer, but the only reason I am hesitant in taking it is because of the work I will be doing. I got offered a position in a different area than my major and am not too interested in it. Therefore, I am stuck between taking it for the location and doing something I don’t like, or not taking it and possibly staying in my hometown for the summer.
I made my decision in what I am going to do in this situation because if you know me I never want to waste my time doing something that I hate. (If you haven’t caught on, I am not going to take it)
Next week is going to be pretty hectic and busy for me because it is the Young Entrepreneur Convention. Last year I was an intern for it and was extremely blessed to see the event come together from start to finish. This year I am apart of the team in actually building it to be bigger and better than last years. The lineup of speakers and people that are going to be at this event are going to be amazing and I can’t wait to build relationships with them. Not to mention, the premier for the Des Moines episode of Ambitious Adventures is going to be shown. Also, they are going to be filming throughout YEC to use for their next season of Ambitious Adventures, so watch out I may be on TV!
It’s still raining out but I wanted to share with you guys just a few things that were on my mind! Hopefully it stops raining soon, just because I don’t want to swim to my car if I need to go somewhere. Kill this week!
