Hey you.

Have you worked out today?

If you haven’t you need to.

Lately, I have been on top of my workout game and I love it. I have a busy schedule as most of you guys already know, so I used to ex out my workouts if I didn’t have time. However, that was probably one of the worst things that I could have done. Working out whether it is going on a run, lifting weights, or doing a sport, we all need to do it for at least 30-45 minutes a day. Exercise helps you re-energize yourself to make sure you can finish out your day strong and finish everything that you need to get done.

A lot of us sit and work on our laptops throughout the day but don’t really get up and take any breaks. For one, this frys out our brain because we are constantly thinking and producing content, however this damages our minds when we don’t take breaks to help cleanse our thoughts. Working out helps you release all the stress that you might have which helps our mental health. I enjoy working out in the mornings because I get time for myself to gather all my thoughts for the day and meditate as well. I also work out at the end of the day sometimes because it helps me release all my stress or hard work that I have been doing.

After you workout your body and mentality genuinely feel better. You feel good about yourself that you took that time to go for a jog or lift some weights. A bunch of people think it takes too much time out of there day to workout but in reality you can take as small of a break as 30 minutes to hit the gym. The smallest impacts make the biggest difference. Some people think that working out is only for people who need to lose weight, it’s not! I don’t know how many times I have been told, I don’t need to be work out because I am already skinny. Working out is for gaining muscle, feeling good about yourself, and pushing yourself to become stronger than you already are.

One of my friends that loves fitness shared this great quote with me.

“Discipline is just choosing between what you want now and what you want most.”

When I think of this quote I think of when I am doing reps and force myself to do those last couple ones with heavier weight. Working out cleanses yourself but also teaches you how to control yourself and stand strong when under pressure. A lot of people dislike working out because it’s too hard or painful, they don’t like the feeling of pushing through it because laziness occurs. However, it helps you strengthen yourself, it challenges you on how you can lift yourself back up when something heavy is bringing you down.

Therefore, if you don’t workout or feel like you don’t have time, make the time and just do it! ( Nike reference 😉 ). There’s 24 hours in the day, sleep earlier and wake up early to get your workout in or cut the Netflix down to get up and take a jog.

You will feel cleansed physically and mentally. Trust me. That’s the best feeling ever.
